When performing a Plank: 1/ You must always lay face down, ensuring your face remains expressionless for the duration of the Plank. 2/ Your legs must remain straight, and together with toes pointed. 3/ Your arms must be placed by your side, held straight and fingers pointed. -from Planking Philippines (a facebook community)

planking around the city

After a tiring day of activities at school i came to elays house to catch up on the latest happenings ask how they celebrated cathys birthday. as soon as i sat down on the chair she instantly introduced me to this very unusual game which is called "planking".  it was new to my ears and didn't quite know what it is.

if you try to search for the definition of the word "planking" you will end up with this meaning:

The lying down game (also known as planking, or face downs) is an activity, popular in various parts of the world, consisting of lying face down in an unusual or incongruous location. The hands must touch the sides of the body, and having a photograph of the participant taken and posted on the Internet is an integral part of the game.Players compete to find the most unusual and original location in which to play. The location should also be as public as possible, and as many people as possible should be involved. -from wikipedia

at first we hesitated coz we thought of what other people might say or think but later on while we were planking we got the hang of peoples stares. which was funny coz i think they want to try it as well. ahaha.

elay and i went out and looked for places to plant our faces and have good photographs of planking. we went inside food chains without ordering anything and as soon as nobodies looking well jump into position and plank.

planking is a fun game with friends. it breaks boundaries. its more than the usual wacky shot. its more funnier and exciting.

@ plaza quezon
I hope its not long before everyone starts planking their way around the city or around the world maybe. elay and i just started doing it and the world is too big for us two. there are still more places to stick our body into. so if you're reading this... plank away!

confessions of a stalker

"i see you". thats a line from the movie "avatar" where the characters say it to express their love and presence for each other. i wish i could do the same for you. say "i see you" then run my fingers on your face and make you feel my presence. but thats fantasy. i know it will never happen.

everyday i see you in your office or shall i say i look for you rather. the only reason i pass by that hall where your office is in is because of you. everyday i want to see the smile on your face. its like the effect of coffee in the morning. it keeps me running all day. and even on days when your having a bad day i still feel joy. i think it makes you more human than a person who hides their anger, pain and misery. it makes you the opposite of me. i can see the warmth of this world through you. your emotions feed my hunger for life. youre the sunshine on my rain. the only problem is all i can do is to look at you.

one night after your work i saw you outside the gate. i couldnt help but notice every move you make. your every step seems like a bridge connecting me to you so i traced every step. the further you walk the closer im getting to you. then i can smell your perfume. it intoxicates me. its like a drug filling my bloodstream with a high. you stopped walking for a while and looked behind and i panicked. i felt my heart stopped when you glanced at me and i froze.  you continued walking till your far again. i tried catching up but i couldnt risk you noticing my intentions.

you crossed the street and waited for a jeep and i had a problem. i was there standing on the other side thinking should i continue following you? or should i postpone this and hope that i get another opportunity to do this again?

a jeep stopped in front of you and you entered it. i quickly  crossed the street but the jeep started moving and i was left behind. i saw you looking at me. you tried to stop the jeep but it was too late. the driver didnt stop.

i was devastated as i walk home. my mind was full of thoughts. the pain of never getting in that vehicle with you. but as i think back i was filled with joy when i saw you trying something inevitable just for me. the gesture of stopping that vehicle for me. i knew then that we had a connection. a short but memorable connection at least for me.

i can still remember the scent of your perfume that made me high, the smile that got me going and the glance that almost gave me a heart attack. oh i wish i could have more but when i saw your facebook account i saw someones arm around you. the hope that i felt turned temporary. i got broken.

the 7-eleven/slurpee mania in naga

picture from Naga City Deck
June 28, 2011 was the opening of the much awaited 7-eleven branch here in Naga City.

Before it opened  some were like "So what? Been there done that.", and many were like "ohmigad I'm so excited." and I'm one of them.

And when the opening day finally arrived the "ohmigad i'm so excited" feeling that I felt turned into "OHMIGAD I CANT GET THROUGH!" situation. ahaha. As much as I wanted to go in and believe me I really did try, I just couldn't because of the huge number of people standing in and out of the store so I decided to come back the next day.

I was really craving for a siopao-slurpee snack so I came back Wednesday with a couple of my friends. Sad to say we could only go through to the hotdogs from the other side of the store opposite the Slurpee machine. Damn! There was a long snake like line for the Slurpee's so we had no choice but to leave the store and buy some drinks elsewhere. And another reason why we didn't stick around to buy the drink is because there was a guy dispensing the frozen treat. Say whaaaaat?! Yup! A guy was operating the machine and I don't want any other person to deal with how much I want to put into the cup.

I'm not saying that some of you are "nali" or "bali".  I am much excited as you are. The difference is just I don't have the patience to wait and stand in line. So good job for you re perseverance.

Thursday and now Friday came and I lost all the excitement. I'm not craving for the Slurpee anymore. tsk. Maybe one of these days Ill get to buy one but I think I wont enjoy it as much as I could have.
